Preseason: Converting Returns with ProSystem fx in Your Office
Applicable to GoSystem Tax only.
Conversion software for GoSystem Tax is tentatively scheduled for release in mid-December 2021. After the release, you can convert 2020 tax return data from ProSystem fx to 2021 GoSystem Tax proforma data in your office. This feature allows you to convert one return at a time.

- Log in to GoSystem Tax.
- On the top menu, select Returns Processing.
- On the side menu, select Import/Export > Tax Software Conversions > Select Files.
- Select the Firm.
- Select the Account number for which you wish to convert returns.
- Select the Year and Tax Type.
- Select the Convert Type: ProSystem fx.
- Click the Select Files button.
- Browse to the location of the files that you need to convert. Refer to the table below for directories and files.
- Select the file(s) to be converted, and click Open.
- Click Upload Files for Conversion. The lower part of the screen will show the file information entered and the status of the file upload.
- After the files are uploaded, click Start Conversion Process. The files are queued for a batch conversion process.
- GoSystem Tax assigns a “batch” number for this process. To view the status of the conversion, on the top menu, select Returns Processing. On the side menu, select Import/Export > Tax Software Conversions > Batch Status.
- Select the user and date range, and click Continue.
- Click the batch number. The assigned locator number and conversion status appear.
