5500 E-file: Form 5500SF - DOL Criteria for Final Year XML Elements

Please check the XML after creating the e-file to match all of the element values below.

TotAssetsEoyAmt = 0 and

TotActRtdSepBenefCnt = 0

Below are the changes to be made in the Organizer or Tax Form 5500SF:

  1. Navigate to Organizer > 5500 Series > Plan Name > Basic Plan Information > Basic Plan Information.
  2. Select the option for Final Return.

  3. Navigate to Organizer > 5500 Series > Plan Name > 5500 > Form 5500 > 5500 Information.
  4. In the Plan Participant Information section, the total number of participants at the end of the plan year should be NONE.

  5. Navigate to Organizer > 5500 Series > Plan Name > 5500 > Financial Information (Sch. H/I) > Assets and Liabilities.
  6. The total plan assets at the end of the plan year should be NONE.
