5500 E-file: IFILE

IFILE is the Form 5500/5500-SF/5500-EZ annual return/report preparation and submission application that will be on DOL’s web site https://www.efast.dol.gov/.

Steps to Import a Filing on IFILE

1. Log into EFAST2.
2. In the Filings section, select Import a Filing.
3. Complete all of the requested information on the EFAST2 system.
4. Use the XML file created in the e-file process for import file information. The XML file will be located in the application data directory.
5. Once the filing has been imported, attachments can be added to IFILE.
6. The Accountant’s Opinion must be a PDF document. Other attachments may be a PDF or plain text document. No other formats are permitted.
